Friday, May 5, 2017 is Liberation Day. Traditionally, Liberation Festivals  are held at 14 large and even more small locations in the country. Choose Bevrijdingsfestival The Hague, Bevrijdingsfestival Rotterdam, Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht or Bevrijdingsfestival Amsterdam.

Each Liberation Festival has its own program and a wide audience has been considered. Visiting one of the Liberation Festivals is therefore the ideal outing for the whole family. Enjoying and with each other for a day in the realization that freedom is not as obvious as it seems.

5 May Fair De Luifelbaan

On Friday 5 May 2017, De Luifelbaan in Leiden will be dominated by the 5 May Braderie Luifelbaan. With numerous branches, there really is something fun for everyone to find and do. Of course, the children have also been thought of with a varied children's entertainment program. Think of bungee trampoline, bouncy castle and much more.

Liberation doll Haarlem

Bevrijdingspop Haarlem  will be organized on Thursday 4 May and Friday 5 May 2017. During this festival (the oldest Liberation Festival in the Netherlands) there are numerous performances. The event kicks off with a Commemorative Concert on Thursday, May 4. On Friday 5 May the party will start with the lighting of the liberation fire and numerous musical performances.

Drachten Course

Not in the mood for one of the Liberation Festivals? Then come to Drachten Koerst  on Friday 5 May 2017 and enjoy the various horse races. It is a spectacle where conviviality and history go hand in hand. The horses thundering past are also great fun for children.

Food Festival Lepeltje Lepeltje Apeldoorn

The Food Festival Lepeltje Lepeltje  starts in Apeldoorn on Friday 5 May. The festival lasts throughout the Liberation weekend from 5 May to 7 May 2017. During the event you can taste the tastiest dishes, listen to music and there are various activities for the children. There is also a nice stuff market in line with King's Day. In short:the perfect outing for the whole family.

Food Truck Festival Big Taste Groningen

During the Liberation weekend from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 May 2017, the Foodtruck Festival Big Taste will be organized in Groningen. A must for food lovers (and who doesn't love good food)! There is plenty of choice from all kinds of different cuisines (think Asian, Indonesian, from very extensive to a 'simple' ice cream) and musical accompaniment is provided. A wonderful outing for the whole family.

Pasar Festival Djempol Geleen
