But those who want to fully enjoy anticipation and be well prepared or want to come to the beach, will go to the Vakantiebeurs in January 2019! This year, the largest travel event in the Netherlands focuses even more on specific and personal, tailor-made information, especially about many new and special destinations.
Think of the dazzling historic Iranian city of Isfahan or the bustling Beirut in Lebanon. Travelers for whom Abu Dhabi and Dubai no longer hold any secrets or people who do not want to go on holiday between literally and figuratively beautiful skyscrapers in the Middle East, would also be wise to come to Utrecht. For the first time, a tourist representation of perhaps the most exotic of the seven United Arab Emirates will visit the Holiday Fair:Ras Al Khaimah. The destination may not yet appeal to everyone's imagination, but that will certainly change. Ras Al Khaimah, which is a stone's throw from Dubai, offers a combination of the best and the most beautiful that the Emirates have to offer. Besides the desert known in this region, the authentic Emirate also has unexpectedly green areas and beautiful tropical beaches against the fairytale background of 1001 nights.
In addition, Palestine, Russia and Georgia are also coming to Utrecht with a booth for the first time. This was certainly obvious for Georgia, after an unprecedented amount of tourist interest arose after the broadcast of the popular television program Wie is de Mol, which was recorded on location in the beautiful country.
Also for the first time at the Vakantiebeurs is Bhutan, high in the Himalayas. In Bhutan, the focus is not on growth of the national product, but on growth of national happiness.
