San Francisco-based photographer Beth Moon has spent 14 years traveling the world to document its oldest trees—majestic giants that seem as timeless as the planet itself.
"As the largest and oldest living monuments on Earth, I believe these trees will take on greater significance... especially at a time when our goal is to find better ways to live with the environment," writes Moon.

Sixty of Beth Moon's exquisite photographs are featured in her acclaimed book, The Oldest Trees.
Here's a captivating selection from the book: the 19 oldest and most incredible trees in the world.
