Every year is Ascension Day, a Christian holiday that is celebrated exactly 39 days after Easter (the resurrection of Jesus). Around Ascension Day you can party in Bellingwolde for no less than 3 days. The 45th Ascension festivities will be organized from May 10 to Saturday May 12, 2018. On Thursday there is an exhibition, followed by a performance and a fireworks shop. Friday 11 May is all about a children's afternoon including an animal show. In the evening there is a Dutch evening. On Saturday there will be fire demonstrations and the holidays will be concluded with a Tyrolean feast.

Would you like to enjoy a lovely walk in nature on Ascension Day? Then join the Margratentocht in Sint Geertruid. There is a choice of no less than 7 different distances. The 19 km long walk is also known as the Memorial Walk. This one goes to the American cemetery Margraten.
