Air France Unveils Pre-Flight Calendar to Build Excitement for Family Summer Getaways

Counting down with D-7, D-6, D-5… Kids eagerly await summer holidays, whether flying solo or with parents—and parents feel the thrill too. Air France has innovated with the Pre-Flight Calendar, helping families prepare together while exploring the Kids offer services. The first families on long-haul flights from France in early July will receive this calendar at home (while supplies last). Shaped like a suitcase illustrated by Al Murphy, it features seven global stopover-themed boxes for the week before departure. Each day, young explorers open a box to meet iconic animals: Tom the caribou (North America), Lola the crocodile (South America), Georges the penguin (Antarctica), Raoul the koala (Australia), Charlotte the elephant (Asia), Robert the lion (Africa), and Louis the rooster (Europe). Inside, they’ll find parts for a build-your-own wooden airplane and cards highlighting Air France’s kid-friendly perks, like priority boarding, tailored menus, onboard entertainment, and comforter tags.

For later travelers, Air France offers a digital version at avant-flight.airfrance.fr, featuring seven cartoons, practical tips to prepare kids for takeoff, and fun family activities.
