Enter Airbnb's innovative "Airbnb Adventures" program, featuring an extraordinary 80-day world tour (a nod to Jules Verne's classic) for just six fortunate travelers. The itinerary spans 12 countries across six continents: England, Romania, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Jordan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, United States, Ecuador, Chile, and Iceland. For £4,042 (approximately €4,500), everything is included—flights, meals, local transport (even hot air balloon rides!), activities, and drinks. Visas appear covered too, as participants are advised to ensure plenty of empty pages in their passports.
To manage overwhelming demand, Airbnb is hosting three selection sessions for the six spots. The first occurred on June 20, 2019; the second is set for June 26 for those in China and nearby regions; Europeans can apply on July 1 at 7 p.m. Just two participants will be chosen per session for the journey from September 1 to November 19, 2019. Applicants must be 21 or older. If selected, your only extra cost is the flight to London, the starting point.
