5 x highlights of Downtown Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip is of course world famous, but the history of the city originally starts in the Downtown Las Vegas district. Fremont Street was created during the founding of Las Vegas in 1905. It was therefore the first paved street in the city and several hotels and casinos quickly established here. The classic Old Town has a completely different atmosphere than on the Strip and should not be missed during your visit to Las Vegas. With these five Downtown Las Vegas tips, this neighborhood will become the highlight of your trip!

1. Back to the past:The Neon Museum
A must-see culture spot in Downtown Las Vegas is the Neon Museum. Here you imagine yourself back in time with the most beautiful, vintage neon signs of current and no longer existing casinos. The new experience 'Brilliant' is a 30-minute audiovisual experience, which revives 40 neon signs after sunset! An awesome project by Craig Winslow who uses projection on neon signs that no longer work, but revives through his projection image.

2. The renovated MOB Museum
In this museum you will learn all the stories and secrets about the organized crime of Vintage Las Vegas and other cities in America. The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, which has been in existence since 2000, has been renovated and has two new exhibits that highlight how criminals were tracked down and arrested and how their organizations were prosecuted. Definitely worth a visit!

3. Get wings with the Slotzilla
The fastest attraction in Downtown is the Slotzilla on Fremont Street, with this zipline you experience the most famous street of Downtown Las Vegas in a completely different way. The zipline looks like a large coin and dice slot machine from which the ziplines fly over Fremont Street. This adventure can be experienced during the day, but to plan it in the evening, under the thousands of neon lights, it is even more special.

4. Food hotspots
After a well-filled day in Downtown, it's time for a snack and a drink. For a cocktail, house-brewed beer and a tasty snack, Chicago Brewing Co is a must at the Four Queens Hotel &Casino. Fancy an extensive dinner? The best steak can be found at Vic &Anthony's Steakhouse, which is located in the Golden Nugget. It is an upscale, yet modest restaurant, which has won awards for the best steak and service.

5. Experience the Container Park
In the heart of Downtown Las Vegas is the special open air container park, with great shops, unique restaurants, live music and entertainment for the whole family! Various activities are organized every month for young and old. The container park can of course be visited throughout the day.
