Couples take four vacations together before getting married

Vacations are a critical part of relationship development so you can see how adventurous and relaxed your partner is, how they handle extraordinary situations and even how they deal with stressful scenarios like canceled flights or getting lost! New research shows that it takes an average of four vacations with your significant other before you commit to becoming life partners. However, for some it can take much longer; 11% of couples said they spent at least 10 or more vacations together before getting married. At the other end of the scale, however, sometimes you know you're in the right place, and one in four couples stated they didn't have a vacation together before getting married.

After the (literal) honeymoon phase, couples' vacation habits come down to just two vacations each year, but it seems like the magic number; 49% gave their marriage a full 10/10 on the happiness scale, with the average marital happiness score being an incredibly high 8.7 out of 10.
