5 must dos on a holiday to Dubai

A visit to Dubai.. Where to start? The city of Dubai has it all:beautiful architecture, delicious food, adventure activities and much more. But you do need to know where to go. These top five must-dos make a holiday to Dubai even more unforgettable.

1. Visit one or more Souks
Imagine yourself in a completely different world in Souk Madinat Jumeirah. This small area in Dubai has the same architecture and atmosphere of Arab markets, making time almost seem to stand still. In the markets you can find a selection of products from the Middle East, such as carpets and other typical souvenirs. Wander through the alleys illuminated with colored lanterns, sail over the azure blue canals and enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

2. Dubai's most beautiful park
Zabel Park is not only one of Dubai's largest parks, it is also very centrally located and has many attractions. For example, visit The Dubai Frame, this huge list gives a beautiful view of the old and the new part of Dubai. Enjoy live music, get lost in the huge Ripe Market for souvenirs and fruit, and don't miss the main attraction, the Dubai Garden Glow. This illuminated theme park opens every day at 4 p.m., but is of course especially beautiful when the sun has set. 40 illuminated works of art in different themes can be seen throughout the park. A real must-visit!

3. Indoor South Pole
Who says it's always hot in Dubai? Escape the heat and visit the Ski Dubai Snow Park. Ski or snowboard on the four slopes that together cover 22,500 square meters, grab a bobsled or zipline down. If that wasn't enough, this resort stands out from the rest in a very special way. Four times a day, visitors get the chance to see a colony of king penguins up close. Everyone can greet the animals during their walk.

4. Private experience
A good option to avoid the crowded beaches is the Island Beach Getaway. A boat will take you to Dolphin Bay, a natural island with white beaches and crystal clear waters. Snorkel in the shallow water without tourist crowds, spot dolphins on the horizon and enjoy the private island feeling. A fantastic activity for the whole family.

5. Brunch like a royal
Because the weekend starts in Dubai on Thursday evening, many hotels and restaurants offer an all-you-can-eat-and-drink brunch on Friday for a reasonable price. Various chains compete for the most beautiful shop window with the best dishes. Celebrate the weekend with a great kitchen and extensive bar. Finally get the opportunity to taste all those typical, local dishes in one afternoon.
