Beach Resort Nieuwvliet Bad by Roompot evokes instant relaxation—just the name promises a serene beach getaway. As frequent holidaymakers with experience at parks like Landal, we recently spent a weekend here and were impressed by its duneside location and family-friendly amenities. In this detailed review, based on our personal stay, we share what to expect.
We chose this getaway for some much-needed downtime after busy home renovations and canceled trips. For the first time, we left our teenage son at home and brought our daughter Lotte and her friend instead—creating cozy memories worth repeating.

Adjusting to a smaller family group took time, but adding Lotte's friend made it special. Having enjoyed Landal parks before, we were eager to compare Roompot and explore Nieuwvliet Bad. More information about this Roompot park can be found here.
We stayed from Friday to Sunday in a duneside cottage. Despite mixed weather forecasts, we enjoyed sun during outdoor time and rain indoors—typical coastal luck. Arriving late Friday (around 8pm after a 2-hour drive from Schijndel), we appreciated the seamless check-in.
No reception visit needed—reception closes at 8pm. Roompot emails an access code beforehand for direct entry, a contactless perk we love. You can also visit these Roompot parks contactless. Ample parking and no barriers make arrival stress-free. No key required throughout your stay.
Underfloor heating was pre-set to a cozy temperature, creating an inviting atmosphere. The girls eagerly explored, claiming the ridge bedroom with its round window and twin beds. We settled into the master bedroom effortlessly.
The cottage had everything: corkscrew (my personal must-have), towels, and a starter kit with garbage bags, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets, and washing-up liquid—similar to Landal's setup. Pack clothes, games like Azul or Bankrupt, and toiletries for a hassle-free stay.
Fresh, natural decor with beach vibes feels homey. Large windows flood the space with light (no curtains needed, as houses are privately positioned). The sofa suits upright sitting but is compact for lounging couples; larger units offer corner sofas.
Family-focused with outdoor playgrounds (fenced for safety), indoor play zones, mini-club sessions, and a teen hangout. Our group preferred other activities during our short stay.
The pool delighted Lotte and her friend with fun slides, despite its modest size for teens. Toddler pools ensure safety for little ones, visible from the central area. We relaxed with coffee by the fireplace. Mini golf was skipped due to rain.
A convenience store stocks essentials like fresh bread rolls. A combi microwave accommodates various meals—perfect if you prefer self-catering.
Pet-friendly options available; we brought our dog Ca$h. No extras provided, but bring your own gear. Ideal for beach walks in cooler months. Your pet is welcome in these houses.
Just a 10-minute walk via the Verdronken Zwarte Polder nature reserve. Stunning scenery for hikes. Beach bars include De Strandganger (seasonal) and cozy Boekanier for snacks and drinks.
Minor suggestions from our experience:
These are small compared to the overall excellence.
A fantastic spot for relaxation and family bonding. Beautiful surroundings, age-appropriate activities, and beach proximity make it ideal for all. We highly recommend based on our stay.
