A few years ago, my family and in-laws enjoyed a week on the stunning island of Ibiza during the autumn holidays. It was a memorable trip filled with fun, though we did face some challenges typical of the late season. To be clear, we had a wonderful holiday overall. That said, for the ultimate Ibiza vibe, I recommend visiting earlier in the season to experience it at its peak.

If you're based in southern Netherlands, flying to Ibiza from Eindhoven Airport is incredibly convenient— just a 20-minute drive from Schijndel. It's far more appealing than routing through Amsterdam. For parking, options abound: budget-friendly shuttles or walkable lots to suit your needs.
Ibiza's short flight time from the Netherlands makes it perfect for families with kids. Minimal time cooped up means more sun-soaked moments, even in autumn. We've loved it for that reason.
However, if you're chasing Ibiza's lively energy, autumn holidays might fall short. Many beach clubs and trendy spots shutter early. If the iconic party scene is your goal, you'll miss out on that buzz.
We stayed at Tropic Garden, a bit outside Ibiza Town—easy access with a rental car. The hotel was delightful, especially our spacious room with its expansive balcony and panoramic views.
The downside? It closes right after autumn holidays, so we caught the final week. Staff seemed exhausted from a hectic season, lacking the fresh enthusiasm you'd find in early spring when things ramp up.
Tip: Opt for an apartment during autumn break to avoid the 'end-of-season' fatigue we noticed at the hotel.
Beyond the hotel, numerous clubs were already closed. Coastal walks revealed empty terraces—peaceful, but a bit quiet if you crave ambiance. That said, plenty remain open, especially nearer Ibiza Town, like the scenic Club Amanté.
Just a 2.5-hour flight away, with easy parking or valet from nearby airports, you can be lounging on Ibiza's sunny shores within half a day.
Weather won't disappoint. While scorching heat fades, 20-25°C is ideal for exploring in light clothes, pool dips, and sightseeing. It's still lively enough during autumn—perfect for balanced island adventures.
Don't let the winding-down season deter you; Ibiza delivers relaxation and joy even then!
