Britain's smallest castle is up for sale

Do you dream of having the life of a princess? It starts with a residence worthy of the name, we are of course talking about the traditional castle. No need to think big, a small building is enough, and that's good, there is one that has recently arrived on the market across the Channel. Located in Long Compton, in the county of Warwickshire in central England, Molly's Lodge is the smallest castle in the country! The one-bedroom residence was built in the 1830s by architect Edward Blore, who notably worked on the expansion of Buckingham Palace for Queen Victoria.

A period fireplace

With its mullioned windows, its turrets and its pyramidal roof, the place is atypical and undeniably full of charm. It contains a bedroom (located in the turret, on the first floor), a bathroom, a living room decorated with a wrought iron fireplace that dates from the Victorian era, as well as an office. Future buyers will also be able to enjoy the exteriors, where there is a pond, an orchard and a chicken coop. The castle is put up for sale for the modest sum of… 640,000 euros. Yes, life in a fairy tale has a price!
