Planning a family vacation sounds perfect—quality time together, a break from routine, and lasting memories with your entire crew. Yet, finding activities for family fun that thrill toddlers, teens, and adults alike can be challenging. The ideal solution? Amusement parks.
In France, nearly 50 amusement parks dot the landscape, each offering unique attractions for all ages—from adrenaline-pumping rides and kid-friendly zones to spectacular live shows. TripAdvisor's annual Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best awards highlight visitor favorites. In 2020, Puy du Fou in Vendée topped the list, thanks to its 40+ years of immersive historical spectacles that captivate young and old alike. Other crowd-pleasers include Disneyland Paris, Futuroscope, Parc Astérix, and Château des Énigmes de Pons. Lesser-known gems like PAL in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes combine thrills with wildlife encounters, where zoo experts educate visitors on conservation and endangered species.
On July 12, the President announced new health measures amid the Covid-19 pandemic. From July 21, a sanitary pass is required for amusement park entry (previously exempt). This applies to everyone 18+, with 12-17-year-olds required by August 30.
