Nearly Half of Single Winter Sports Fans View Slopes as Top Flirting Destination, Parship Study Finds

Winter slopes aren't just for skiing—they're a hotspot for romance. A Parship study across Europe reveals that 49% of single winter sports enthusiasts see a ski holiday as the perfect place to flirt or spark a lasting relationship. The top spot for making the first move? The après-ski hut bar, where a third of respondents admit to some playful flirting. Yet, these encounters often stay casual: only 12% evolve into something more serious.

Ski instructors hold undeniable appeal too. Over one in five singles have succumbed to their charm during lessons, going beyond lift-line glances or staged falls. In fact, 11% have invited an instructor back to the chalet for a holiday fling.

While flings dominate, true love stories do emerge. Fully 12% of winter sports fans report starting a committed relationship with someone they met on the mountain.
