Christmas Balls with a Story
Decorate the Havenkerk's grand Christmas tree with paper baubles featuring personal stories or memories from Schiedam residents. Pick up baubles via Nieuwe Stadsblad and return them to supermarkets, Havenkerk, or I-PUNT de WAAG. Daily, locals share their heartfelt tales on camera from the Christmas studio.

Together We Light Up Schiedam Center
Starting December 8, the city center glows with festive lights on bridges, buildings, and Hoogstraat, plus 120 Christmas trees. Stedelijk Museum Schiedam displays portraits in windows, and projections illuminate the Municipal Office. Shop local for a bonus candle with a poem by city poet Yvette Neuschwanger.
