Time Out has unveiled its inaugural World's Coolest Streets list, spotlighting the top 30 global hotspots. Melbourne's Smith Street claims the #1 spot, with Barcelona, London, Havana, and Los Angeles close behind.
"Our first-ever World's Coolest Streets list celebrates the vibrant local businesses and communities breathing life into our cities," says James Manning, Time Out's International Editor. "These streets sustained us through tough times and now embody the future of urban living—from alfresco dining to street culture. As social creatures, we'll flock back to these spots to eat, drink, and connect."
Drawn from the Time Out Index—a survey of over 27,000 city residents nominating their coolest street—our global team of 100+ local editors ranked entries based on food, drinks, art, culture, nightlife, and community spirit over the past year.
