The cold is here and the first night frosts will soon appear.

And if, like me, you can't shelter your car in a garage, you may have bad surprises when you wake up.

Luckily, there's a trick to stop wasting time scraping your frozen windshield in the morning.

The trick is to rub half an onion on the windshield to prevent frost from forming. Watch:

1. Cut an onion in half.

2. Rub the onion on the windshield the night before.

There you go, no more frost on your windshield in the morning :-)

No need to defrost in the cold!

Thanks to this economical little trick, your windshield won't freeze. This is a really simple and cheap trick to prevent frost on the windshield.

Why ? Because the onion will leave a thin protective layer that will act as a barrier against the frost and help it to drain more easily.

So if you don't have frost protection, vinegar or heavy cardboard to put on the windshield, I'm sure you'll easily find an onion in your kitchen!
