Many believe travel demands a hefty budget. But what if that's not true?
This is the reality 23-year-old Swiss traveler Sarah Gysler is living. She set off on December 8 for an epic journey, covering 12,000 kilometers so far—with just €320 spent.
Let's explore how she made it happen.

Traveling the world has been Sarah's lifelong dream, and she's embracing it one day at a time. She's already explored Europe, Latin America, and the Philippines.
This inspiring adventure reaches 7,000 readers worldwide via her blog, "L'aventurière fauchée".

Sarah isn't chasing influencer fame or likes. Her goal is simple: inspire others to pursue their dreams.
"I want my journey to motivate, inspire, or at least comfort others," she shares.
With her distinctive tattoos, Sarah stands out from typical bloggers. Far from polished Instagram perfection, she travels authentically—hair tousled, backpack ready.

She updates her Facebook, website, and Instagram on her own terms—no rigid schedule. Weeks might pass in silence, but her posts are genuine reflections of daily life, encounters, and thoughts.
At 23, her mantra is living in the moment, day by day, without fixed plans. "Why not savor the luxury of slowness, the unknown, and surprises? I'm choosing no route," she says.

Unlike typical tourists clutching guidebooks, Sarah skips them to immerse herself with locals.
"Guidebooks tell us where to look and herd us 'off the beaten path.' I prefer to trust the locals."
With time on her side, genuine connections come naturally.

Nearly a year ago, she left home, starting in Gibraltar without speaking Spanish. There, she met Australians who invited her on their sailboat for an Atlantic crossing.
Arriving in the West Indies penniless, that first encounter fueled her onward. Dreams abound, and time is hers to chase them.
Switzerland can wait. Now, her path leads to New Zealand for six months. A true dream come true.
