A boss offers a week's cruise to his 800 employees

Some bosses know how to be more generous than others at the end of the year. To congratulate his employees on their very good job, Gary Bertch, the big boss of the furniture company Bertch Cabinets, had a great gift idea. He offered a one-week Caribbean cruise to all of his employees, i.e. 800 people (yes, yes, 800!). Enough to perk up the troops for the coming year!

A dream trip

The announcement was made via a Facebook post:“Bertch is delighted to announce that we are all going on vacation! We will be closed January 9-13 so we can set sail for the Caribbean sun! This trip would not have been possible without the hard work of our amazing Bertch associates! Happy holidays everyone! ". The little getaway will begin on Sunday, January 8, 2017. Employees will first fly to Miami aboard the four planes chartered for the occasion. There, they will have the chance to enjoy a night in a 5-star hotel (lucky ones!). The next day, the whole team will embark on a cruise ship, heading for the Caribbean! The stay will last a week and the following Monday:back to work for a new year! This is not the first time that the company has been so generous with its employees. But due to the crisis, the box had not organized such a trip since 2005. On Facebook, the initiative of the generous boss has made people envious. Some even said they were ready to leave their position to join the Bertch Cabinets teams! We might not go that far, but we have to admit that we are a little jealous!
