In Britain, smartphone photos can be used for passports

In Britain, photos taken from smartphones are now accepted when renewing a passport online. Be careful though, selfies are strictly prohibited (and this is also valid for Snapchats with the dog filter!) and for good reason, it is clearly specified that the photo must be taken at least from a distance of about one and a half meters . Furthermore, you should know that this new feature does not concern the first requests for the document. So for those who are applying for their first passport or who would like to replace it following theft or loss:the photo no make-up at the Photomaton is a must!

Desired simplification

And to go all the way with digital renewal, Britain also plans to offer people receiving their new passport the option of signing it at reception, to avoid having to send the form just for signing. Clearly, less paperwork, more efficiency! It's good for the environment and for our nerves.

In any case, it would seem that for the English renewing their passport will no longer be a headache in the years to come! And with us, when is it?
