Dutch Holidaymakers' Perfect Weather: 26-30°C Ideal, Rain Rarely a Spoiler

What do the Dutch consider ideal holiday weather? Travel expert Corendon surveyed 1,236 respondents, revealing a sweet spot of 26-30°C. Remarkably, seven in ten are unfazed by rain—46% say even two or more rainy days won't ruin their trip, while 24% barely notice it.

Regional differences shine through: 80% of Flevolanders and 74% of Utrechters shrug off rain, compared to 57% in Drenthe. Only 13% stay indoors to relax, read, or play games. Nearly half (47%) head out for museums or shopping, and 40% stick to plans, simply dressing appropriately.

Still, 74% prioritize reliable weather—not too cool or wet—opting for that 26-30°C range. Just 14% avoid excessive heat or humidity, and 12% adapt activities to whatever the destination offers.

Preparation is key: 71% check forecasts beforehand—half anticipate conditions, half monitor online. 19% pack versatile clothing, while one in ten plans to shop locally if needed.
