The summer holidays are just around the corner and that means that many Dutch people are going on holiday abroad again. Fortunately, traveling has now become a bit more convenient because we can use our smartphone for everything; from your boarding pass in the wallet to finding nice sights at the holiday destination. But various apps also make the holiday a bit easier. We have listed 3 new apps here.

The Customs Travel App
Many holidaymakers doubt whether purchases from outside the EU can be taken home. In order to go through Customs carefree after arrival in the Netherlands, the Dutch Customs has launched the Customs Travel App. The new Customs Travel App lists per destination what can and cannot be taken back on the plane to the Netherlands. You immediately see why that is the case. With the Customs Travel App for Android and iOS you can easily check what you can take home with you.

KLM's Schiphol Airport Map in the KLM app
The new KLM Schiphol Airport Map helps passengers find their way around Schiphol Airport. Many KLM passengers transfer to their next flight at Schiphol. The airport map helps them find their way around the airport in an efficient and user-friendly way. The Schiphol Airport Map consists of a map showing the various gates. The map also shows the various KLM facilities such as check-in counters, lounges, kiosks and transfer desks. The general Schiphol facilities such as toilets, shops, workplaces and quiet areas are also easy to find. The KLM app is available for IOS and Android.

Boarding Pass Scanner
Flight delayed? Airhelp's new Boarding Pass Scanner helps passengers dealing with a delayed or canceled flight see if they are entitled to compensation and you can start the claim process in just a few clicks. The Boarding Pass Scanner is a new feature in the free AirHelp app. Even at the airport, the app already shows whether the delayed or canceled flight is eligible for compensation and offers the option of submitting the claim immediately. The app can scan and archive multiple boarding passes simultaneously, ideal for families or groups traveling together. The app is available for free on iOS and Android.
