On holiday to La Palma:5 places of interest

The holiday season has come to an end, the Christmas tree has left the house and the cold temperatures are now starting to get a bit annoying. So time to look forward to something fun! Book your holiday to La Palma to make the coming period a little less difficult:there are all kinds of beautiful things waiting for you during this trip to the Spanish sun. We are happy to tell you exactly what that may be.

1. La Zarza
Fancy a fairytale walk? Then you visit the laurel forests of La Zarza. You will find them in the northeast of the island, and you can follow various hiking routes. The forests are at an altitude of 600 to 1200 meters, and even give you the opportunity to walk along the famous Nogales gorge. Or how about a visit to the Marcos and Cordero hot springs, or the petroglyphs in the cultural park? An impressive day out:adventurous and active!

2. Los Llanos de Aridane
And after such a long walk, you also want to be able to enjoy a drink and a drink. The city of Los Llanos de Aridane has a lot of atmospheric terraces, and is packed with history. You can even find many banana plantations around the city. In addition, there are all kinds of beautiful beaches 15 minutes away and there is plenty of opportunity to walk a little further.

3. Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente
Want more walking? Then you visit the national park la Caldera de Taburiente. You will find this park on the north side of the island, and it offers you all kinds of different landscapes during your walk. Visit an erosion crater or the international observatory. From this park you can easily walk to Los Llanos de Aridane, where you can (again) enjoy some atmosphere, and your wet and dry!

4. Mirador del Time
You will find a great view of La Palma from the Mirador del Time lookout point. Especially after dark, this makes for a breathtakingly beautiful panorama of Los Llanos, El Paso, the valley of Aridane, Pico Bejenado and the Cumbres.

5. Los Cancajos
Los Cancajos is a cozy seaside resort on a volcanic beach. Beautifully beautiful rock formations, a pleasant promenade and few tourists make this a wonderful place to relax. The village is fairly new, and therefore there is little culture or tourism to be found. Great to enjoy the beautiful Spanish beach, and take a moment for yourself.
