Respondents evaluated their hometowns on six key factors: atmosphere, energy, friendliness, food and drink options, community life, and affordability. The standout winner? Chicago, hailed as the world's most fun metropolis, followed by Melbourne and Lisbon.
Chicago earned top honors from its locals, who praised its unbeatable bar and restaurant scene, welcoming residents, endless attractions, and reasonable living costs—a true gem for quality living. Melbourne secured second place, with 74% of residents loving life there. Lisbon took bronze as Europe's top entry, shining for easy friendships and romance. Paris? It ranked 15th. An overwhelming 91% of Parisians called daily life challenging, especially for building connections and affordable eats. Still, the City of Light excels in culture, with locals frequenting bars most often and enjoying the steamiest love lives!
