Pinoccio Arnhem: Authentic Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria Review

As a longtime fan of Italian cuisine alongside my love for Greek flavors, I recently dined at Pinoccio, a beloved restaurant and pizzeria right in Arnhem's vibrant city center. With its wood-fired pizzas and hearty dishes, is it worth the visit? My firsthand experience says yes.

Pinoccio in Arnhem

Nestled on the bustling Korenmarkt, Pinoccio seats up to 144 guests indoors, with additional outdoor seating on nice days. The authentic decor features thousands of Chianti bottles suspended from the ceiling. It's the only longstanding spot in town with a traditional wood oven, baking pizzas the old-fashioned way. Gluten-free options are available, and it's exceptionally family-friendly—children under 12 eat free every Sunday (conditions apply).

Our Memorable Dining Experience at Pinoccio

We booked via Social Deal for a steal: a 3-course dinner at just €12.95 per person, despite the extensive regular menu.

Stepping inside, you're greeted by the pizza maker crafting fresh dough before it heads into the wood oven—genuine artisanal work.

The interior feels cozy and private, even with numerous tables. It stretches far back to the restrooms, adorned with Chianti bottles overhead and a charming fireplace surrounded by Pinocchio dolls—a playful nod to the name.

Choices abound for starters, mains, and desserts. We started with a complimentary basket of baguette and butter, followed by fresh salad and crispy fried mushrooms. Mains were a pizza and lasagna—the lasagna was packed with rich meat sauce and melted cheese, ideal for carnivores and cheese enthusiasts. Dessert? A massive ice cream coupe topped generously with whipped cream.

Portions were impressively generous—no skimping here, even on the deal. Service was prompt and polished amid a full house. Fellow diners looked equally pleased, aligning with Pinoccio's stellar 9/10 Social Deal rating. I'd give it a solid 9.5.

We'll definitely return for the authentic vibe, delicious food, and warm hospitality.
