For those who would like to spend a weekend or week away in their own country with the whole family and still want to have the feeling of being away from it all. For parents with young children it may be recognizable that the word vacation not only evokes a feeling of pleasure but also slightly increases the stress level in the body. Because how are you going to entertain the kids all day long? How do you get all the toys in the car? Am I not disturbing the other guests with my loud brood? Last but not least:How do I ensure that there is still some energy left to relax with my legs up and drink a glass of wine with my hubby when the toddler and preschooler are sleeping well? After all, mom is on vacation too! There is a solution for all this and it is called Farmhouse de Kleine Wildenberg.
The children can play in the playground, cuddle with the animals, go wild with the outdoor toys and swim in the jacuzzi. We had a very nice stay here and all four of us enjoyed a holiday in our own country.

Anne stayed with her family at Boerderij de Klein Wildenberg and wrote a review about it:
Immediately on arrival we came across the playground with a huge trampoline, sandpit, climbing equipment and picnic tables. Even before we had traced the hostess, the children were already bouncing on the trampoline, the first sand ice creams were sold and we sat at the picnic tables with a nice drink. The playground is clear and safe, so we didn't have to worry about losing our adventurous toddler and super-fast toddler. A wonderful start to our mini holiday in our own country.
When we met the friendly hostess she took us to our cottage. We were in “de Buttercup”. A six-person cottage, which is very attractively furnished and equipped with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The cottage also has a nice outdoor area with beautiful views and a wood stove. I could already see myself sitting with my book and given the energy the children had consumed in the playground, it wouldn't last long. The biggest surprise, however, came when we got to the nursery upstairs. A huge ball pit had been made under the starry sky ceiling!
'Wow, wow, wow', the toddler and preschooler's mouths came out before the two of them dived into the ball pit. A great idea that provided hours of holiday fun. In addition to the fun, the practicalities have also been well thought out. There is a high chair and a cot available on request.
Many children are fond of animals. So is mine. We often enjoy a trip to the petting zoo at home. At this child-friendly holiday destination you don't even have to leave the yard because the children can cuddle with the bunnies, cows and horses. My little toddler found the big “arken” a bit scary after he had grunted very loudly, but that also turned out well. Every day around five o'clock the children are allowed to go with the farmer to feed the animals and collect fresh eggs. Not only super fun, but also an educational outing for the children.
The small Wildenberg farm is located in a beautiful wooded area near Deventer. Although the children consider the stay an outing in itself, we would like to discover the area by bike. While renting bicycles on holiday can sometimes be quite a cost item, here the entire shed is full of bicycles that we can borrow. There is even a cargo bike that the children can ride together, so Dad could work on his condition. In addition to bicycles for adults, there is also a huge range of children's bicycles, balance bikes, tractors and other outdoor toys.
It should be clear that we had a wonderful time at Farm de Kleine Wildenberg. A happy child is a happy parent, yes! But in addition to the many entertainment for children, this quiet area and the tastefully furnished house are also really aimed at the holiday feeling for parents to really relax after a period of hard work.
