A fantastic day out for children aged 4-10 at the Sound and Vision Museum (Beeld en Geluid) in Hilversum with the Children for Children program.
Last Sunday, Patricia and her children joined the Children for Children program at Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum. They arrived at 1 PM for a warm welcome and orientation, fueled by drinks and fruit skewers. The program runs from February 15 to March 1, with a €2.50 surcharge per person for hall activities. Check the museum's website in advance to confirm workshop availability. View the full program via this link.

The trail winds through the museum hall, where kids collect stamps for each activity. Collect all stamps to claim a cool button at the cash desk—what a thrill!
Four engaging stops: photo booth, singing lesson, dance lesson, and a Children for Children quiz. Email your photo home as a keepsake. This trail is available all day with standard admission—no extra tickets needed.
Sing and dance to popular kids' tunes (and family favorites) in this lively session. Ridder tosses a microphone to the crowd, letting children shine. Endless fun for all ages.
Over the next two weeks, kids join workshops led by Children for Children coaches, like singing expert Michiel. (No session today, but a staple of the program.)
Led by coach Kelly, this high-energy class started with warm-ups, then grooved through King's Games songs—including a sneak peek at the 2020 hit 'Hand in Hand.' Suitable from age 6 (our 4-year-old joined but tired out after 45 minutes). Pure joy!
Our four kids—Lara, Miguel, Milo, and Senna—chatted with the stars, snapped photos, and scored snacks plus goodie bags before exploring the museum.
Upon entry, grab a scannable ring to record activities—download them at home later. We squeezed in just 2 hours and ran out of time, so plan a full day!
Available until March 1 (best for ages 8+, but adaptable for younger with help). Create your own news, radio play, or jingle, then download via ring. Earn a real radio diploma at the end!
Upstairs, dress up, control lights/cameras with your ring, and record and mix your own music video like a pro VJ.
At the entrance, watch live recordings—and sometimes join in. We caught the program close with guest Ralf Mackenbach; kids helped wrap it up.
Sound and Vision is a must-visit family destination—beyond spring break, anytime!
