Montreal is celebrating its 375th anniversary in style!

Illumination of the Notre-Dame basilica with an incredible multimedia show (AURA, until October 30), illumination of the Jacques-Cartier bridge activated in real time by the energies of Montrealers, projections on the water to pay a poetic tribute at the St. Lawrence River (Montreal Avudo, until September 2), interactive tour in 20 paintings inspired by the history of the city in Old Montreal (Cité Mémoire), neighborhood festivals set up by the circus, among other things Eloize (the Grande Tournée, until September 17), opening of new pavilions at the Pointe-à-Callière museum and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA)... When the favorite Quebec metropolis of the French celebrates its 375th anniversary, that moved! With more than 175 events organized throughout the year, most of them free (festivals, exhibitions, outdoor shows, films, dances, sports/cultural/family activities…), it is impossible to get bored here. Not to mention the festivities organized for the 150th anniversary of the Confederation of Canada and those of the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Universal Exhibition… We will have understood that it is now or never the time to (re)discover Montreal!
