Women Lead Vacation Planning, Men Cover the Costs: Vliegtickets.nl Study Insights

Women take charge of most vacation decisions. They select destinations (53.1% women vs. 17.7% men), book hotels, car rentals, and excursions (45.8% women vs. 15.6% men), handle airline tickets (64.6%), and manage essentials like passports, visas, and vaccinations (54.2%). Men step up for payments, covering 60.4% of airline tickets. At the destination, men pay twice as often as women (36.5% vs. women), though couples split costs most frequently (46.9%). Packing is individual (53.1%), but women handle it solo far more (42.7%) than men (4.2%). These findings come from a Vliegtickets.nl study.
