More than a third (40%) shy away from driving to explore new areas, with only 6.21% eager to step outside their comfort zones. Meanwhile, 24.14% admit to harboring unfulfilled holiday dreams.
Dutch travelers plan meticulously to sidestep stress—22.07% adhere rigidly to their itineraries. A quarter (24.63%) dedicate over ten hours to pre-trip research. Destination choices are guided primarily by online reviews (38.03%) and recommendations from others (23.25%).
Yet, spontaneity pays off: 74.48% feel happier after impromptu decisions. While inspiration is key to breaking routines, the payoff is substantial, with 58.42% reporting high satisfaction from such ventures.
